Our club is one of around 33,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries throughout the world. We are part of Rotary District 9970 which encompasses the upper part of the South Island.
Within Rangiora we fundraise through initiatives such as a regular Saturday BBQ at New World, distribution of phone books, an annual book fair, and sales of the booklet “Are Your Affairs in Order.”
Every couple of years we host a foreign exchange student – currently Marion D’Haenens from Belgium. We also support a Matched Student Exchange programme with Australia, and host an annual speech competition among local high schools.
Through our associated Trust we support a range of community projects. We regularly fund opportunities for deserving young people to discover their limits and develop leadership skills.
We welcome to our current membership numbering about 53 anyone who wishes to contribute some time and energy to the community we serve.
